Top industry recognition for innovation – Wolfenden’s Hybrid Supa Slats shortlisted for RIDBA New Product Award 2023

Wolfenden are, once again, in the spotlight for dairy product innovation, as the next generation Hybrid Supa Slats have been selected by the Rural & Industrial Design and Building Association (RIDBA) for their New Product or Service Award 2023.

The RIDBA is the UK’s leading trade association for modern agricultural and industrial buildings and is a highly respected voice in the sector, representing member views to government and major stakeholders across British farming and the rural economy.

This year’s RIDBA Awards have seen a record number of entries across categories including livestock; farm storage; industrial and production, and the new product or services category where Wolfenden have been selected.

With the finalists now announced, Richard Moody, Wolfenden’s managing director, comments,
“Poor flooring is a huge issue for British dairy farmers, and our hybrid solution is a product farmers have been crying out for – offering the optimum combination of rubber and concrete, harnessing the intrinsic benefits of both materials for better grip, and better hoof health and herd welfare. We have invested a significant amount of time and resources into the development of the hybrid slats, and so we are all delighted to see their benefits recognised by RIDBA.

We’ll be showcasing the new slats, along with our full Supa range, at the Great Yorkshire Show this July and look forward to dairy farmers being able to see for themselves just how effective the slats are – for better slurry management, emission reduction, and for improved herd health which ultimately means lower vet bills. And, of course, we look forward to joining the other RIDBA finalists at the Awards Ceremony in Cambridge this September.”
