Preparing for Great Yorkshire Show 2022
Following the success of last year’s GYS, Wolfenden are finalising preparations for their stand at this July’s event – one of the most popular events in the agricultural calendar.
At last year’s show, Wolfenden showcased their collaboration with EasyFix and their new portable cubicle beds proved a big hit with dairy farmers. 2022 shows no slowdown in product innovation, with the launch of Wolfenden’s next generation hybrid Supa Slats – part of the SUPA range for cow comfort and improved farm efficiency.
The new hybrid slats combine rubber with a non-slip concrete surface and set new standards in animal welfare. Outperforming both concrete and fully rubberised slats, Wolfenden’s latest innovation for dairy allows for more natural and confident movement for the herd, providing greater comfort, better hoof care and grip. A minimum 10-year lifespan on the rubber insert and futureproof design – including interchangeable rubber cassettes – ensures that the slats are a robust, long-lasting asset, allowing farmers to embrace future modifications and innovations with minimal alterations to existing infrastructure.

Richard Moody, managing director at Wolfenden, comments,
“When we exhibited at Dairy-Tech earlier this year, there was a great deal of interest in our new hybrid slats. Despite being in development at that stage, we were delighted to be able to take advance orders for the product, and so we are sure that farmers visiting our stand at GYS will see the major advantages the slats offer, for animal welfare, hoof health and slurry management. We are proud to be the only mainland UK manufacturer of hybrid slats, and ours are wider than others that are available for import – making Supa Slats perfect for larger dairy farms with wider passage requirements, while providing improved animal welfare whatever the herd or farm size.”
Wolfenden will feature their portable cubicle beds alongside the new hybrid slats at GYS this year, along with the full SUPA range for slurry management. For dairy farmers unable to attend the event or for those wishing to take a more thorough look at the options available, Wolfenden now have a yard display area at their manufacturing site and headquarters in Barnoldswick, where various styles of EasyFix beds are available to test.
